Low literacy and limited English proficiency are barriers to health and healthcare for many adults. This Health Information Toolkit is designed to provide health literate culturally and linguistically appropriate information on diabetes, high cholesterol, high blood pressure and a balanced diet. Videos and brochures are available in multiple languages including subtitled versions for those who are hard of hearing.
The Health Information Toolkit is brought to you by the Georgia Health Foundation and Georgia State University’s School of Public Health, Adult Literacy Research Center (College of Education & Human Development) and the Center for Community Engagement (Perimeter College). For more information, contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Health Information Toolkit content available on this site is for informational purposes only, and should not be taken as professional medical advice.
