Admissions Requirements
When applying to the clinical rehabilitation counseling program, you will need to submit several documents for review.

- Goals statement (upload with the application). The M.S. program (CACREP accredited) in Clinical Rehabilitation Counseling at Georgia State University prepares future counselors to promote the mental health and vocational well-being of individuals across the lifespan who are living with chronic illnesses and disabilities (including psychiatric/behavioral, medical, physical, sensory, cognitive, developmental/intellectual, and learning). We welcome applicants who bring various life experiences to apply to our program. Please address all THREE of following questions in your personal statement:
- Motivation and Goals: What personal, academic, or professional experiences have influenced your interest in working with individuals living with chronic illnesses and disabilities?
- Understanding of the Field: How do you envision supporting both the mental health and vocational well-being of clients living with chronic illnesses and disabilities?
- Professional Aspirations: How does this program align with your vision for your future as a professional clinical rehabilitation counselor?
- Resume (upload with the application)
- Three letters of recommendation (identify your recommenders on the application)
- Official transcript: Minimum 2.5 undergraduate GPA required for admission
- Submit transcripts from all colleges/universities attended
