Urban Education, Minor

The minor in urban education provides undergraduate students with knowledge and experiences in urban education. Students select from course experiences offered from across departments in the College of Education & Human Development.

Program Details

The minor in urban education is an interdisciplinary program in the College of Education and Human Development. Courses are taught by faculty from the Departments of Early Childhood and Elementary Education; Educational Policy Studies; and Middle and Secondary Education. The minor in urban education provides undergraduate students with knowledge and experiences in urban education.

Students in the Urban Education minor must complete EDUC 3010: Introduction to Urban Education and EDUC 3440: Self in Society: Decolonizing Educator Identities Toward Excellence in Urban Education, along with 12 credits of elective courses.
