Instructional Technology for Certified Educators (Pre-Kindergarten Through 12th Grade Focus Certification)

The Instructional Technology certification program prepares educator-candidates to serve as technology coaches/facilitators in pre-kindergarten through 12th grade schools.

Those who successfully complete the program are prepared to:

  • Effectively use technology to support student learning of content.
  • Provide professional development and mentoring to teachers and other school professionals.
  • Provide leadership in the development of school improvement plans toward higher levels of student achievement through technology in student learning.

  • LT 7110 Instructional Design for School-Based Settings (3)
  • LT 7360 Integrating Technology in School-Based Learning Environments (3)
  • LT 8090 Advanced Technology Tools for Interactive Learning (3)
  • LT 8110 Leadership in Instructional Technology (3)

Exit Requirement: Students must successfully present a portfolio of their work in instructional technology.

Program total: minimum of 12 semester hours

Admissions Requirements

Applicants for this program are required to have a current Georgia Level 5 teacher certification in any field and at any grade level. Successful completers of this program will be recommended for the certification in Instructional Technology.

When applying to the Instructional Technology for Certified Educators, Non-Degree program, you will need to submit several documents for review.

  • Application Fee of $50
  • Goals Statement (upload with the application)
  • Applicants for this program are required to have a current Georgia Level 5 teacher certification in any field and at any grade level
  • Official Transcript: master’s degree with a minimum 3.0 GPA required for admission consideration
