Learn to design online training and educational programs for organizations of all sizes with Georgia State’s online graduate certificate in corporate learning. Four courses from the master of science program in instructional design and technology come together to make up this 12-hour certificate.

Professionals who know how to design online training programs are in high demand. Corporations and businesses of all sizes need instructional designers and e-Learning specialists who know how to:

  • Create engaging learning experiences
  • Gather learning analytics for the purposes of tracking impact and outcomes

Alumni are working in a variety of education and training roles in government agencies, the military, nonprofit organizations, large corporations and businesses of all sizes. Program Details

When applying to the Corporate Learning Professional Graduate Certificate program, you will need to submit several documents for review.

LT 7100 Design of Performance and Instructional Systems or equivalent (3 hours)

This course provides students with an in-depth study of instructional design and technology topics such as Conducting Needs and Instructional Analysis; Instructional Strategies and Detailed Design; and Developing, Implementing, and Evaluating Instructional or Performance Systems. Topics may change. (Repeatable).

LT 8150 Project Management for Instructional Designers (3 hours)

This course provides students with the skills and knowledge of project management. Topics may vary. Examples of topics are Planning a Learning Development Project; Leading a Learning Development Project; Internal Consulting Skills for Effective Learning Project Managers. (Repeatable).

LT 8360 E-Learning Design and Development (3 hours)

Students design and develop eLearning content for educational and training purposes while learning to use state of the art digital tools for instruction.

LT 8720 Learning Analytics and Impact Evaluation (3 hours)

This course provides learning professionals the skills to design impact evaluations as part of their learning projects and use learning analytic methods to gather, analyze, interpret and provide conclusions on the effectiveness of learning initiatives on organizational goals. In addition, students completing this course demonstrate the ability to use data visualization and reporting dashboard techniques to report results to organizational stakeholders.

Students who complete the Corporate Learning Professional Certificate will:

  • Demonstrate knowledge of learning theories and principles, models, tools and techniques which are applied to the systematic design of corporate learning and development solutions.
  • Apply instructional design principles to the design, development, and implementation of learning solutions in their work environment.
  • Demonstrate the ability to effectively lead the design of effective instructional content development through planning, development evaluation and management.
  • Implement eLearning solutions using Learning Management Systems.
  • Demonstrate the ability to manage and lead all phases of a corporate learning development project.
  • Demonstrate how to link learning results with business objectives and organizational results using learning analytics and impact evaluation.

As an online program, the certificate also places emphasis on the implementation of technology within instruction, thus providing flexibility to working professionals.
