- Biography
Yolanda Parker is an administrative specialist – administrative in the Department of Counseling and Psychological Services. In this role, she facilitates the onboarding process for graduate assistants and part-time instructors, oversees the financial management of the graduate assistant/part-time instructor budget, supports faculty search committee members and manages the academic registration and roll verification processes. Before joining the department in 2013, she worked as an administrative coordinator in the college’s Department of Middle and Secondary Education. Parker earned an A.S. in Business Administration from Georgia Perimeter College in 2011. As a full-time Georgia State University employee and student, she graduated summa cum laude with a B.A. in Sociology in 2016. She is the 2023 recipient of the CEHD Staff Innovation Award, which recognizes a staff member in the college who generated novel and valuable ideas and used these to develop new or improved processes, methods, systems, products or services. The award recognizes creative ideas that improved any area of the college and made the CEHD a better place to work.
Parker is the 2023 College of Education & Human Development’s recipient of the Staff Innovation Award.
