- Biography
Tamara D’Anjou Turner is Clinical Assistant Professor at Georgia State University. She received her B.A. in Psychology from Columbia University, Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Miami and completed her postdoctoral fellowship at University of Georgia. Professionally, Dr. Turner has served as the Director of the Counseling Center at Georgia Gwinnett College and was awarded a SAMHSA Grant for Suicide Prevention. In private practice, her clinical interests include depression, anxiety, social phobia, trauma, women’s issues, motivation, stress management, assertiveness skills and goal setting. Most recently, she was featured as a chapter author in the Handbook for Counseling African-American Women.
