Sherry Howard is the director of the Best Practices Training Institute, a part of Georgia State University’s Department of Early Childhood and Elementary Education (ECEE). ECEE has been empowering Georgia’s teachers since 1996.
Best Practices provides professional development to early childhood educators using current research and field-tested classroom methodology.
Teachers enjoy energetic, hands-on training. They emerge enriched from exposure to in-depth content across the curriculum. The training always includes unique insights and practical classroom activities that promote intentional teaching practices. Best Practices develops hands-on resources for teachers to use in the classroom. These include materials used in training as well as Social-Emotional posters, games and scripted stories based on The Pyramid Model.
