Business Manager III Learning Sciences- Biography
Ruth Ebenezer-Cook serves as the business manager for the Department of Learning Sciences. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Georgia State University and a master’s degree from Clayton State University; she is also a Certified Research Administrator and holds certificates in Leading with Integrity, Business Management and Coaching Skills for Managers. Ebenezer-Cook has worked at Georgia State University for more than 25 years, including serving in University Research Services and Administration’s Office of Research Integrity supporting research compliance. She has been nominated for several awards and received Georgia State’s Sparks Award in 2003. She has shared her expertise with her colleagues in business manager meetings and has trained new staff. She has also spearheaded several initiatives during her tenure as chair of the College of Education & Human Development’s Staff Council. She is passionate about social justice, helping to build communities, learning new things, diving into complex problems and developing her painting skills. And, of course, finding the best recipe for white chocolate strawberry cake.
