- Biography
Kofi Kinney is an instructional mentor for CREATE at Georgia State through the College of Education & Human Development. She is a 25-year veteran educator. She graduated from Howard University in Washington, D.C., with a bachelor’s in communications and an M.Ed. in elementary education. For her first seven years in education, she was an elementary teacher in Fulton County.
She continued her development at KIPP South Fulton, where she taught middle school (5th to 8th grade) and was an instructional coach and an assistant principal. Upon leaving KIPP, she worked at Teach for America as a Manager of Teacher & Learning for new corp members in the classroom. She transitioned from KIPP in 2018 to CREATE as an instructional mentor.
Kofi is a wife and a mother to two middle schoolers. She enjoys spending time with family and exploring entrepreneurial endeavors.
