Karon Mackey

Karon Mackey, a native of Atlanta, Georgia, joined Georgia State University’s administration in 2004. She served ten years as an accountant for the Department of Biology. She was also an integral member of the financial management unit which managed an annual operating budget of $6,000,000. She joined the Office of International Initiatives team in 2017 as the business affairs coordinator to manage the financial aspects of faculty-led study abroad programs. She collaborates with the director of study abroad programs and individual program directors to make sure programs are financially viable and looks forward to increasing her time traveling abroad in support of the departments’ goals and initiatives.

She also helps with the coordination of the CREST-Ed program and the Center for Evaluation department’s goals and initiatives.
