- Biography
Karen Van Der Byl worked for more than 15 years as an executive assistant to the president and CEO of Eskom Holdings Company, the largest power utility on the African continent. Before immigrating to the U.S., she also worked for Discovery Holdings, an international health insurance, investment and finance company in Johannesburg, South Africa, where she was an executive assistant to the group executive director in charge of government and stakeholder relations.
She joined Georgia State University in 2017 and works as an administrative coordinator in the College of Education & Human Development’s Reading Recovery Training Center, where she provides academic program and administrative support.
