- Biography
Dr. JoAnna White, Professor Emerita Department of Counseling and Psychological Services, founded the play therapy training program at Georgia State University. She served as a national leader in the field of play therapy, contributing a body of research related to the effects of trauma on young children and consultation with parents and teachers.
She continues her work in training and supervising play therapists at Advanced Counselor Training & Supervision, LLC in Atlanta.
She currently holds the following professional interests: Board Member Emerita, Play Therapy Training Institute, Department of Counseling and Psychological Services Licensed Professional Counselor, Certified Professional Counselor Supervisor and Registered Play Therapist/Supervisor at Advanced Counselor Training and Supervision, LLC
Her hobbies include traveling and golfing.
