- Biography
Jennifer L. Austin, Ph.D., BCBA-D is an assistant professor in the Department of Learning Sciences within the applied behavior analysis program. She has worked as a behavior analytic researcher and clinician for over 20 years. Her research and clinical interests have focused primarily on behavior analytic applications in schools, as well as applying our science to populations that are relatively underserved by the field, including prisoners, children in mainstream education, and children who have experienced abuse and neglect.
Austin received her Ph.D. from Florida State University under the supervision of Dr. Jon Bailey. Before coming to Georgia State University, she was a professor of psychology and head of behavior analysis at the University of South Wales in the United Kingdom.
In 2020, she received a Society for the Advancement of Behavior Analysis (SABA) award for her contributions to the international development of behavior analysis.
She is a former president of the UK Society for Behavior Analysis and a former associate editor of the Journal of Applied Behavior Analysis and Behavior Analysis in Practice.
