- Biography
Dennis Gilbride is a professor in the Department of Counseling and Psychological Services and program coordinator for the Rehabilitation Counseling program. He joined Georgia State in 2012 after serving as a department chair and professor at Syracuse University.
He has published numerous articles and book chapters, primarily on issues related to disability. He has received millions of dollars in external funding; most recently, he was one of three College of Education & Human Development faculty to be awarded a five-year, $750,000 grant from the U.S. Department of Education’s Rehabilitation Services Administration to prepare rehabilitation counselors to work with people with mental illness.
