Infusion of Parasport in Teacher Education and Sport Management
Sport management curriculum standards emphasize the importance of preparing students to work in diverse sport environments. The participation of people with disabilities in sport, physical activity, recreation and leisure is a growing segment of the sport business industry with viable jobs and careers for graduates. There is also a movement to include people with disabilities in able-bodied sport. Sport management professionals must be informed of these current trends and issues. Thus, it is crucial to examine curriculum and course content in relation to diversity, specifically disability sport.
