Preparing master level students to enter the doctoral programs in the CPS department.
Welcome! The CPS Doctoral Preparation Track is a two-course sequence that spans from Spring of your first year to Fall of your second year as a master’s student.
Goals
The goal of the CPS Doctoral Prep Track (DPT) is to provide clear direction and support for students interested in applying to a doctoral program while they are in a GSU’s masters or Ed.S. program in the Counseling and Psychological Services Department.

Applications
- We will host a meet-and-greet workshop in September so that you can learn about the program, as well as the application process.
- We will post office hours to help people who want support with the application process.

In the two years we have formally conducted the program, we have already had ten students apply and matriculate into doctoral programs:
