Alumna awarded million-dollar grant to train rehabilitation counselors
Originally from Atlanta, Jasmine Johnson graduated with a master’s degree in school counseling in 2019. She recently self-published her first children’s book entitled, “Mikey’s Lost Toy.”
Kimberly Duff graduated with a master’s degree in rehabilitation counseling in 2005. She now runs a private practice, Overcomers Counseling, LLC

Counseling Psychology Student Organization
The purpose of the Counseling Psychology Student Organization is to facilitate professional development among Counseling Psychology doctoral students within the Counseling and Psychological Services Department at Georgia State University.

Graduate Assistantship Opportunities
Graduate assistantships are available in departments and Colleges across campus including our department. Every assistantship differs according to the funding source; some may be for one semester only, others may be extended beyond one semester. The hours of employment, the amount of tuition paid, and any additional stipend offered varies. You can apply for assistantships any time after you have been admitted to a program. Application information is provided to new students through our welcome ambassador program.
