Department of Learning Sciences Associate Professor Lauren Margulieux and instructional technology doctoral students Marya Rahimi and Erin Anderson, received the Best Paper Award at the 2025 Special Interest Group in Computer Science Education’s (SIGCSE) Technical Symposium.
The SIGCSE Technical Symposium addresses problems common among educators working to develop, implement and/or evaluate computing programs, curricula, and courses. It also provides a forum for sharing new ideas for syllabi, laboratories and other elements of teaching and pedagogy at all levels of instruction.
Margulieux, Rahimi and Anderson’s award-winning paper is entitled, “CS Concepts and Conceptual Factors in Integrated Computing Activities in U.S. Schools,” and was selected as one of three best paper awardees from over 700 submissions.
