Kirsty Houston is a psychology undergraduate student, in her senior year. Houston joined the H.O.P.E. lab to gain research experience, understand the effects of social isolation and loneliness in older adult populations and suicide intervention and prevention.
After graduation, Houston is interested in pursuing further education in the field of psychological research. Her interests include trauma, the effects of stress on social behavior and the interpersonal psychological theory of suicide.
She is excited to become more knowledgeable in research methods through the H.O.P.E lab and work alongside a wonderful, supportive team. She has been developing her own skills and gaining insight into the promotion of life.
