Georgia State’s Counseling and Psychological Services department is excited to announce that the School Counseling, M.Ed. program is expanding to the Alpharetta campus!
The Atlanta and Alpharetta campuses have two separate application links and deadlines, but the curriculum is consistent. You can find the applications and deadlines on the School Counseling M.Ed. program page. The first semester at Alpharetta will begin in the summer of 2023. On the Alpharetta campus, students will experience classes in person and via Simulcast; therefore, collaboration can occur between the two campuses.
This expansion is especially exciting because it allows Georgia State to continue to mentor and educate the next generation of much-needed professional school counselors.
Bobby Gueh, Ph.D., the program coordinator, is the primary point of contact for the Alpharetta campus. Gueh has worked as a school counselor for 19 years across all levels. He specializes in diversity within the school counseling profession, Black male success in the counseling profession, racial justice, equality and much more. If you have any questions, contact him at [email protected] or 404-413-8181.
