Ben Shapiro, Ph.D., assistant professor in the Department of Learning Sciences, was selected as one of the Best Reviewers of 2021 for the Journal of the Learning Sciences (JLS).
“All JLS reviewers devote considerable time and intellectual energy to provide detailed, rigorous, and supportive reviews. At the same time, there are always some reviewers who go above and beyond the expected commitment. They provide support for the journal that is invisible to everyone except the editors who repeatedly and reliably receive their expert feedback on manuscripts,” said Susan Jurow, JLS co-editor in chief. “They rarely say no to review requests; they balance timeliness in reviewing with depth and thoughtfulness; they take the work of advancing the field of the learning sciences seriously, and they are simultaneously encouraging in their feedback. Dr. Shapiro is one of those generous and deeply pedagogical reviewers.”
The Journal of the Learning Sciences is a peer-reviewed academic journal covering research on education and learning as theoretical and design sciences.
