Marshaya Rountree is a first-year Clinical Mental Health Counseling, M.S. student. During her undergraduate career she became a part of The Ronald E. McNair Post-Baccalaureate Achievement Program, also referred to as the McNair Scholars Program. Marshaya brings not only experience in conducting independent research from the McNair Scholars Program she also brings research experience from her work with the National Witness Project at the Roswell Park Institute.
Marshaya’s interests are generational trauma, how spiritual/religious influence aids individuals affected by trauma and also counseling those affected by trauma from gun violence.
