Although many of us are launching the fall semester from behind our laptops or home computers, I want to welcome our returning and newly admitted students to this new semester. I can assure you that the CPS faculty and staff have worked diligently in preparing for this upcoming semester, while keeping your safety a top priority. Sharing highlights of your summer with friends while walking to class, sitting in a 9th floor classroom beside your peers, and listening to your instructor as she/he lectures on an area of expertise may seem like distant memories. I assure you that we recognize the many losses that you may be experiencing during the start of this semester. Please know that we, the faculty and staff, are committed to you and your academic and professional success. Please do not hesitate to reach out if you need a question answered or are unsure about a next step.
CPS is growing! Starting this fall, our department has added three new full-time faculty members. We are pleased to introduce Drs. Han Na Suh, Leslie Wofford, and Kan Guvensel. Dr. Suh has joined our Counseling Psychology doctoral program and will also teach courses to our mental health counseling students. Dr. Wofford will be teaching primarily in our clinical rehabilitation and mental health counseling programs. Finally, Dr. Guvensel will be coordinating our basic skills program and thus, will have students from nearly all our masters and Ed.S. programs. Please join me in welcoming our new faculty to our CPS Department.
If there is anything I can do to assist with this fall semester, please feel free to contact me.
