Jacklyn J. Byrd (she/they) completed an M.S. degree in clinical mental health counseling at Georgia State in 2020. They are an emerging scholar and mental health counselor trainee with a focus on somatics and social justice. Her current research investigates interoception among people with marginalized identities. Their current clinical interests center queer and trans people living with addiction, disabilities and trauma. She completed her undergraduate degree in human development and family science with a minor in dance from the University of Georgia.
