Bailey Thu Lien O Neil is an undergraduate psychology major in her junior year. Her goal is to become a counseling psychologist. “I want to be able to help people by providing them with the support they need to live their most fulfilling lives. I also want to play a part in getting rid of the stigma of asking for help when struggling with mental health,” she said.
Her research interests include investigating different treatments for anxiety disorders and depression, as well as suicide prevention, especially in adolescents and young adults.
“I am very excited to be a part of the H.O.P.E. Lab because of the value of the research that is being done. It is amazing to be able to promote life and to learn and teach skills that can help others support individuals who are suffering.”
