Make small changes! After reviewing your progress, consider other ways to fit physical activity into your schedule. Here are just a few examples:
- On a lunch break? Walk around your office (inside or outside) for 10 minutes before eating or before going back to your desk.
- Going to a meeting? Walk at least ten minutes (each way) by taking a little bit longer route across campus and/or by taking the stairs.
- Looking forward to binge-watching your favorite Netflix show when you get home? Watch while walking on a treadmill or a stationary bicycle.
- Tired in the morning? Perform ten to fifteen minutes of jumping jacks, burpees, push-ups, sit-ups, walking/jogging in place, anything that you can easily perform and have access to before getting in the shower. There are many free videos on YouTube if you need ideas!
You can do one of these or a combination of these weekly and increase your minutes (just remember it must be a minimum of ten consecutive minutes to count for D2M). Find creative ways to add physical activity into your daily routine and share them with your teammates!
