The Georgia Association for Health Physical Education, Recreation and Dance awarded the Adapted Physical Education Teacher of the Year Award to Bethany Chapple (M.Ed. ’14), an alumna from our Health and Physical Education, M.Ed. program. Chapple teaches adapted physical education at Lake Winward Elementary School in Fulton County and strives to engage all her students in appropriate and safe movement activities that promote lifelong health. She also teaches part-time in the summer in the health and physical education program.
Chapple won the National Teacher of the Year Award competition for the southern district at the annual SHAPE America Convention back in April, 2019 in Tampa, Fla. Congratulations on the win!
