UNHSI Spring Training 2003
Serving Infants and Toddlers With Hearing Loss
And Their Families

This workshop is targeted to any professional who works with young children and their families whose caseload may include young children with hearing loss.  This workshop will discuss parent counseling, teaching parents communication skills, helping parents manage behaviors, options and approaches, and will end with a panel discussion of parents and local providers.

        Presenters:

        Dr. Barbara Luekte-Stahlman, author of several books on communication development and mother of two daughters who are deaf.

        Dr. Pat Spencer, Associate Professor in the Department of Social Work at Gallaudet University.

There is no cost for this training and lunch will be provided.  You may register by mail, fax, or online.  Registration is accepted on a first-come basis up to 5 days prior to the workshops.  A confirmation and directions will be forwarded to all participants.

CEUs have been approved through Georgia State University.  There will be a fee of $10.00 for a transcript of CEU credit.  This training has also been approved for Babies Can't Wait Project SCEIs for 12 CE hours of training as well as 1.0 SDU through Georgia Department of Education.

Participants must attend both days of training to receive credit.
