After spending six years as a PE teacher in Ohio, I suffered a spinal cord injury. My wife and I moved to Atlanta in order for me to rehabilitate at the Shepherd Center.
After receiving my bachelor’s degree, I worked as a high school teacher for two years. Although my heart was in education, I didn’t want to remain in the classroom 100 percent of the time, so I researched different careers within the field.
After completing my bachelor’s degree, I worked as a college advisor for two years at a national program that placed recent college graduates in metro Atlanta schools.
