The
Georgia Association of Educators - Student Program at Georgia State
University (GAE-SP), is a pre-professional program sponsored by the
Georgia Association of Educators
(GAE) and the National Education
Association (NEA). Our purpose is to prepare aspiring educators
for both classroom and non-instructional aspects of the profession. Our
organization is open to all undergraduate and graduate students attending Georgia State University.
GAE-SP assists future educators by hosting guest speakers and panels to address relevant issues that affect the field of education. Seminars may include such topics as classroom management, special education, job searches, the Georgia Code of Ethics, standardized testing and the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001. Additionally, GAE-SP hosts various service projects throughout the academic year that support children and educators on a local, state, national, and even international level.
In addition, membership in GAE provides participants with special benefits and services, scholarship opportunities, publications, access to professional libraries, liability insurance, and GACE workshops. Please visit the GAE website for specific details and to become a member. |
