Application
Saturday
School for Scholars and Leaders adheres to
specific criteria for admission into the program. In order to be admitted,
all students must have the required test scores (90th percentile and above) and be recommended by school
personnel or the testing psychologist. The recommendation and test
score must be submitted with the application and fee payment. All four
components must be received before applicants will be considered. Returning
students do not have to resubmit test scores and recommendations. Acceptance
letters will be sent 10 days prior to the beginning of the
session.

Test
Scores
Applicants must show either
placement in a gifted program (Eligibility Report), or testing results indicating an IQ of 120 or
above on an ability test or results indicating a 90th percentile or above (on
the majority of subtests and total) on a standardized achievement test. For a

Recommendation
Applicants must also submit a
written recommendation by a licensed psychologist, teacher, principal or
resource person.
Confirmation of Enrollment
Acceptance letters will be sent 10 days prior to the beginning of the
session. Final class placement may not be officially confirmed until after the
registration deadline.
Tuition
Fee
The cost is
$175* to be paid in advance by check or money order (made payable to
Georgia
State
University NOT
Saturday School for Scholars and Leaders), or by credit card (VISA or Master
Card).

Cancellation
Cancellations must be received in
writing to the
Saturday School office (e-mail is acceptable). If cancellation is made by
the registration deadline, you will receive full refund, minus a $25 processing fee. No
refund can be made after the registration deadline. For stop payments, there will be a returned
check fee of $25. Allow two to three weeks to receive a refund. There will be no
partial refunds after the deadline, nor will there be partial refunds for
missed classes.
