THE SUMMER INSTITUTE FOR GIFTED CHILDREN

DATES: June 16^th – June 20^th, 2008

TIME: 9:00am to 12:00noon (morning session)

               1:00pm to 4:00pm (afternoon session)

LOCATION: Winn Holt Elementary

                          588 Old Snellville Hwy, Lawrencille, GA 30045

TUITION: The cost is $175 per class (not per day)*, to be paid in advance by check or money order (made payable to Georgia State University), or by charge card (Visa or MasterCard). GAGE members get a 15% discount and have to pay $150.

*NOTE:  If you register for a morning and an afternoon class, this counts as two classes.

Deadline:

All applications must be received by MAY 30^th, 2008 (doesn't apply to refund deadline). You are encouraged to submit applications before the deadline since applications are processed on a first-come, first-served basis.

Acceptance Confirmation:

Acceptance packets, including class confirmation, classroom assignments, and directions will be mailed about ten days prior to the beginning of the session. Please be aware that not every course listed in this flier will actually be offered due to minimum enrollment requirements. Hence, it is important that you supply all the alternative choices in addition to your child’s preferred course. Applicants will not be notified individually upon receipt of applications.

Cancellation:

Cancellations must be received in writing at the Saturday School office (email is acceptable). If cancellation is made by MAY 19^TH, you will receive a full refund, minus a $25 processing fee. No refund can be made after MAY 19^TH. For stop payments, there will be a returned check fee of $25. Allow up to six weeks to receive a check refund. There will be no partial refunds after the deadline, nor will there be partial refunds for missed classes.

Lunch and recess: 12:00noon to 1:00pm (bring your own food and drink)

(Teachers will be in charge of morning and afternoon car riders, lunch and recess duty)

NOTE: Parents and students need to sign a discipline management contract to understand that disruptive behavior will not be tolerated.
