Claymation, short for Clay Animation, is a popular 20th century form of stop- motion animation used to create characters such as Gumby and Wallace and Gromit. In small collaborative groups, students will command scriptwriting, storyboarding, set design and construction, clay character creation, filming, and final editing. Students will take home their very own DVD copy of the movie that they created! Note: $10 Material Fee. Instructor: Marcy Cincotta Smith (Masters Academy of Fine Arts)
Let’s express ourselves through role playing, art, communication, and play therapy. Come join the fun of exploring our inner selves by expressing yourself creatively to enjoy a healthy living situation. Students will focus on real life, every day situations. These situations will then be brought to class where they will be acted out in a productive and positive way. Let’s have fun with our imagination! Get ready to create and enjoy! Making wild animals comfortable in a zoo is not easy! Lean what goes behind the design of zoo exhibits and how to meet not only the animals’ needs but the public’s expectations. Become an architect, zookeeper, artist, horticulturist, and more to design an exhibit for an animal of your choice! Instructor: Zoo Atlanta Staff
Have a blast in this class while learning about several major systems of the human body. The skeletal, muscular, circulatory, respiratory, and immune system will be studied in depth. Hands-on activities such as model-making and high-school-level dissections are featured. You will love the “grossology” and be amazed at how much you learn. Note: A $10 material fee (given to the instructor on the first day) is required.
