Pretend to be astronauts on a mission to another planet! Using technology and language arts, students will become experts about another planet in the solar system, create a cyber badge and postcard, and communicate impressions and data by sending messages via e-mail. Students will work cooperatively to list the planets in order, observe and compare different planets and compose a text from research facts. Instructor: Precious Goodson (Dekalb County Schools)
“Money cents” may be learned from a very young age. In this class students will spark their “money cents” early through the practice of identifying and counting money. Students will obtain experience in adding, subtracting, and problem solving in real life situations such as making purchases and giving change. Through the use of books, games, and hands on activities, students will be exposed to the concepts and history of money. It is time to learn some money cents! Instructor: Kathy Turner (Free-Lance Instructor)
