Express, explore, create! Develop acting skills through fast-moving fun and challenging theatre games. Participate in creative moment, vocal games and storytelling. Learn how to move on stage and stage terms. Performance for paren0ts and friends the last day of class. Take the class more than once to gain skills and confidence! *ANATOMY OF THE HUMAN
BRAIN
Understand the working of the human brain in detail. Discover what part of our
brain controls what body functions. Understand how the central nervous system
keeps our body running smoothly and what nutrients do our brain need to stay
vibrant and healthy!
All students need to wear old clothing, as we will do 95% hands on projects
involving, food coloring, food, paint, and water. Please send your child with a
clean towel or wet wipes for every session. Your child will also be asked to
help by bringing a brain food snack and meal on week 3. I will send home a list
so parents can prepare a simple snack and meal. Instructor: Reesa-Marie Dawkins

*GRAND VOYAGE TO SOUTH AMERICA
Escape and take a wonderful adventure trip to South America. We will journey by ship completely around the Continent of South America. We will sail the Amazon River and travel to every single country. We will experience culture, language, and animal life. We will attempt to duplicate native artists, and we will explore why most of these countries remain remote and cut off from our world. We will learn geography, and explore the three oceans surrounding it. We will practice the skills of map reading, routing, compass headings, latitude and longitude. Explore the world around you starting with your own backyard! We will explore what makes your world special and find out what is special about everyone else’s and how we are all connected. We will travel the globe and find out what types of animals where and even go on a treasure hunt following the treasure maps we make. We will learn different ways to create maps and learn about map keps, symbols, compass rose, and scale. Instructor: Lynore Dost (Artist/ Free-Lance Instructor)
*READING AND WRITING WITH PUPPETS
Students will become storybook authors and illustrators as they formulate their own tales. They will engage in the writing process as they produce their own work for publication. Students will read short stories and create puppets to represent the characters. They then will use their puppets to act out their favorite part of the story!!
