Professional Development Wednesdays Information Series

The Professional Development Wednesdays Information Series provides a platform for dissemination and discussion of new research, grant implementation, instructional technology, and educational issues.

Each week of the month, from September to November and from February to April, a different speaker will address interested faculty, students, and staff in The Forum, 1030 Education Building, at noon. The following monthly calendar indicates how topics are scheduled. Additional presentations may be added.

First Wednesday

A nationally known speaker presents on new ways of conducting and disseminating educational research.

Second Wednesday

The Educational Research Bureau facilitates a discussion of grant preparation and implementation issues.

Third Wednesday

The Learning Technology Division presents new and cutting-edge ways of using technology in the classroom, including how to improve online instruction.

Fourth Wednesday

Joyce Many facilitates discussion of issues surrounding edTPA, Georgia Teacher Leader evaluations, and the new CAEP Standards
