As the director of field placements, Tyanne Pethel is responsible for overseeing the office which serves the various departments at Georgia State University that require students to complete field placements in local schools for their initial teaching certification. She is a board member of the Georgia Field Directors Association and prior to joining Georgia State, she worked in hotel management and as an entertainer at Walt Disney World.
Pethel earned her bachelor’s degree and teaching certification in history education from Kennesaw State University in 2010. She earned her master’s degree in higher education administration in 2012 from Georgia Southern University.
