MaryAnne has been the Associate Director of the Principals Center at Georgia State University for more than 14 years, serving four part-time faculty directors. A non-educator who used to work just outside of K-12 schools for 20 years as a parent, parent leader, advocate, community organizer and executive director of a Local Education Fund (a non-profit) that worked alongside a local system, MaryAnne has learned a lot about education from, and respect for, leaders who work in schools. As she developed a yearly calendar of professional development experiences for Georgia’s school professionals, she has been very happy about this most personally rewarding career choice.
