Kashira Baker is an senior administrative coordinator for the College of Education and Human Development’s Department of Counseling and Psychological Services. She has been with the college for three years and was originally hired as an administrative coordinator in instructional technology. She was promoted to her current position after two and a half years.
In December 2015, she won the college’s Staff Innovation Award, which recognizes a staff member who generates novel and valuable ideas, helps develop new or improved processes, methods, systems, products or services for their group, and helps to make the college a better place to work.
Baker loves her work environment and everyone she works with is encouraging and supportive. She also believes the entire college is one big team and is always happy to assist any member of the Georgia State University community. Her motto is “teamwork makes the dream work!” She enjoys learning and growing professional and gaining further knowledge in creativity, research and critical thinking.
She graduated from West Georgia University with an undergraduate degree in secondary education and criminology.
