Dean Jordan

Dean Jordan serves as the Director of Development (fundraising) for the College of Education. In this role, he is responsible for developing and executing strategies to identify, cultivate and solicit individuals and organizations in support of the college’s strategic plan.

Prior to joining Georgia State, Jordan held a number of development jobs, including director of major gifts for the Woodruff Health Sciences Center at Emory University, where he secured more than $7 million to advance on-going research into HIV, Alzheimer’s, Huntington’s, Malaria, Parkinson’s and a number of other global healthcare challenges. Before that, he worked for the American Geophysical Union, a global academic society of 42,000 Earth and space scientists in Washington, D.C.; in Boston as a senior financial consultant for a number of non-profit entities; and as director of operations for an educational foundation.  He has been a professional fundraiser since 1996.
