Aileen Taylor is an academic advisor in the College of Education and Human Development’s Office of Academic Assistance. She works with senior level students majoring in Birth through Five Education, Early Childhood and Elementary Education, Middle Level Education, and Human Learning and Development.
Her personal advising philosophy involves students to set goals and reach them with a strategic plan. She encourage students to reach their dreams.
Her scholarly interests include student development, retention, and progression, topics on which she has presented on at the National Academic Advising Association’s state and regional conferences. This past year, Taylor was honored by the association for her dedication and contributions to advising with a 2014 National Outstanding Advising Certificate of Merit Award.
Aileen also served on the CEHD and Georgia State University’s staff council from 2011- 2015 and from 2014- 2015 served as chair of the Staff Development Committee.
In her free time, she enjoys coaching basketball, working out, running, and enjoying the outdoors.
