A checklist is provided for each degree: M.A.T., M.S., M.Ed., Ed.S., Ph.D. There is also a checklist for applying to non-degree and add-on certificate programs.
2. Your application is your means of presenting yourself to the department's admissions committee. Thus, it is important that all questions be answered thoroughly and thoughtfully.
3. Please do not submit your supplements to your application in a binder or notebook of any kind. Term papers, videos, publications or other items of this nature in support of your application must be simply presented and transportable in an ordinary 81/2´X 11" business file.
4. We recommend that you print a copy of your complete application, as well as copies of all supplemental attachments and forms, for your own records.
Remember . . . You Must Submit all the Elements Below for a Complete Application.
The College of Education uses self-managed applications for admission to its graduate programs. This means that it is your responsibility to prepare or collect all credentials and other supplemental materials and submit them at one time to the Academic Assistance Office.
A self-managed application requires appropriate planning on your part to allow time for you to prepare the application properly and collect all of your transcripts and and request letters of recommendation. This process also gives you—the applicant—control over when your application is complete. It eliminates the need for concern over lost or misdirected forms, or transcripts. Elements:
1. The completed College of Education Application for Graduate Study online. (If you cannot or do not pay online, you must print the online application and send in the packet the $50.00 application fee by check drawn in U.S. dollars or a similar financial instrument).
2. After applying and paying via the Internet, prepare the admissions packet as outlined below. You will be sent an email notice by the Academic Assistance Office acknowledging receipt of the completed application packet.
3. All other required materials listed on the Materials Required chart for your program.
For international applicants only -- TOEFL or GSTEP scores and the Georgia State University Financial Affidavit for Graduate Applicants form, with financial documents attached, should be submitted along with the application packet.
