Staff Configuration
The staff of the academic assistance office has been assembled to best serve our clients' needs by specializing in particular areas of Advising, Admissions, Records, and Graduation. If you have a specific question in any one of these areas, please contact the staff member best prepared to answer your question in full.
Location & Hours
Location: The OAA is located on the third floor of the Education Building, 30 Pryor Street in downtown Atlanta.
Regular Business Hours:
8:30 a.m. to 5:15 p.m. (Mondays & Thursdays)
8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. (Tuesdays & Wednesdays)
8:30a.m. to 4:30p.m. (Fridays)
Walk-In Hours
In order to serve the Georgia State community and its guests more efficiently, the Education Academic Assistance Office has established limited "walk-in" hours for questions, deliveries, and general assistance.
Walk-in advisement is available Mondays from 10 a.m. – 11a.m. and Tuesdays from 3 p.m. – 4 p.m. Walk-in advisement is for quick questions which should not take over 10 minutes. Program advisement requires a scheduled appointment with an advisor.

Application Status Checks
Checks to find out the status of a graduate application are not made through the Office of Academic Assistance. Please refer to the GoSOLAR application status page for answers to all questions about the processing of an application.
