Directions:
1.) Please download and complete this application. This is a separate application from the one required by the university to be admitted into the Ph.D. program at Georgia State University. Information about the university application can be found at http://education.gsu.edu/oaa/. Both applications must be submitted to be considered for the College of Education (COE) Doctoral Fellowship. All information must be typed.
2.) Please provide a narrative of no more than two pages for each of the questions below (i.e., a total of no more than four pages). Responses must be single spaced with 12 point font. Your responses should be submitted in either Microsoft Word or Adobe PDF format.
A) Detail prior experiences( e.g., publications, presentations, leadership roles) that provide evidence of your potential to be an accomplished COE Doctoral Fellow.
B) Detail your research and scholarship plans(e.g., goals,objectives, timeline, career aspirations) as a COE Doctoral Fellow. Define any terms unique to the field the first time they are used.
3.) Please provide an electronic copy of your complete curriculum vitae providing (i) educational background (degrees received; date(s)/institution(s)/ major(s)); (ii) types of financial assistantship and/or fellowship support received; (iii) awards received; (iv) memberships in honor societies and/or professional organizations; and (v) a complete list of refereed and/or non-refereed publications, abstracts, professional papers, and presentations. Your responses should be submitted in either Microsoft Word or Adobe PDF format.
4.) No ancillary materials (e.g., DVDs, CDs) will be accepted. Web addresses linking to ancillary materials may be included, as appropriate, in the nomination materials; however, whether or not any or all of the web material is reviewed will be at the discretion of the Associate Dean for Research, Scholarship and Graduate Studies and the Committee on Research and Scholarship (CRS) members. Your responses should be submitted in either Microsoft Word or Adobe PDF format.
5.) Please submit all items as attachments to an email with the subject line containing your name and "COE Dean's Fellowship Application". Send your completed application to CoeDeansFellowship@gsu.edu.
