Graduate Application Steps

Your application will be considered complete and ready for departmental review when all required items, including official test scores, are logged into our records system.

Follow these steps to complete your application:

          

 

1. Complete this online application:
 

2. Review materials required chart and application completion deadlines.

3. Submit two official copies of transcripts from each college or university attended if the applicant is applying to Georgia State for the first time (Applicants who previously have attended Georgia State must submit one transcript from each institution attended before Georgia State and two transcripts from each institution attended after Georgia State).

4. Submit official GRE scores (or MAT scores, when required -- see Materials Required charts). Also any applicable GACE basic skills scores if you are in a certification program. All materials must be in the Office of Academic Assistance by the stated deadline.

5. For international applicants only -- TOEFL or GSTEP scores and the Georgia State University Financial Affidavit for Graduate Applicants form, with financial documents attached, should be submitted along with the application packet.

6. Submit all other required materials listed on the Materials Required chart.

7. We recommend that you print a copy of your complete application, as well as copies of all supplemental attachments and forms, for your own records.
