Drs. Susan Swars and Stephanie Smith, assistant professors of early childhood education; Lynn Hart, professor of early childhood education; and doctoral student Regine Haardoerfer had the following published: Dr. Karen M. Zabrucky, regents professor of educational psychology and special education, and Stephanie Stolp, former psychology graduate student, had an article accepted for publication in the International Electronic Journal for Elementary Education. The article is entitled "Contributions of Metacognitive and Self-Regulated Learning Theories to Investigations of Calibration of Comprehension." The National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE) has offered a book contract to Dr. Peggy Albers (lead author), associate professor of middle-secondary education and instructional technology, and Jennifer Sanders (co-author) to publish their edited book, The Arts, Multimodality, and New Literacies: Perspectives in Research and Practice from the Commission On Arts and Literacies. Dr. Karen M. Zabrucky, regents professor of educational psychology and special education, has received a contract to write "Survivors' Guide to HER 2 Breast Cancer," which will focus, in part, on the unique characteristics of HER 2 cancer, state of the art diagnostic assessments of HER 2 status, current standard of care for the disease, innovative trials currently being conducted and the psychological (cognitive, social/emotional) and physical factors affecting patients' well-being during and after treatment. |
