MAJOR AREAS OF INTEREST:
Dr. Carter’s current research, teaching, and service emphasize one central theme: an inclusive education for students from underrepresented populations by designing and delivering progressive teacher training in curriculum and instruction. This major field of scholarship in inclusive education also includes evaluation and assessment of students with dis/abilities; co-teaching and collaboration models; multicultural curriculum mapping and differentiated instruction, cross-cultural teaching and learning strategies; qualitative methodology; and Africana feminist theory.
