Intructional Technology Center at the College of Education

INSTRUCTIONAL TECHNOLOGY CENTER
The Instructional Technology Center represents the next generation of teaching technology centers. The ITC empowers faculty, students and Pre-K-12 educators to explore new technologies in a safe, comfortable environment. Visitors to the center are given opportunities to investigate the latest educational technologies including laptops, data projectors, PDAs, multimedia peripherals and assistive technologies.

But the ITC is not just about the hardware. We offer model classrooms, a technology focused library, an advanced video studio, and will soon showcase the latest in distance learning conferencing suites. However, the ITC staff is the best asset the center has to offer. Our team of experts provides support, one-on-one consultations and customized workshops covering a wide variety of technology subjects. Best of all, our services are free to Georgia State students, faculty, and staff.

Our very own Anne Davis was featured on Intel's web site. This site is a Web project sponsored by Intel Innovation in Education Every school day, a story is shared about a teacher (from anywhere in the world) who's using technology in an innovative way in the classroom. Anne Davis from the Instructional Technology Center was recognized for her weblog writing project she implemented with students at J. H. House Elementary School in Rockdale County. The story was entitled "A Place to Be Heard".
