Faculty Recognitions

Each year, the College of Education honors both full professors and assistant/associate professors for their scholarship, service and teaching.

College of Education Outstanding Faculty Research Awards
The Outstanding Faculty Research Awards recognize faculty members in the College of Education for outstanding achievement in the area of scholarship activity, with emphasis on the last three years. Two recipients – a full professor and an assistant/associate professor – are chosen for this award.

College of Education Outstanding Faculty Service Awards
The Outstanding Faculty Service Awards recognize faculty members who fulfill in exemplary ways the College of Education’s commitment to service and have consistently demonstrated exemplary service at the campus, community, state and/or national level. Two recipients – a full professor and an assistant/associate professor – are chosen for this award.

The Outstanding Faculty Teaching Awards recognize faculty members in the College of Education for outstanding achievement in the area of teaching, with emphasis on the last five years. Two recipients – a full professor and an assistant/associate professor – are chosen for this award.

Ron Colarusso Outstanding Urban Education Research Award
The Ron Colarusso Outstanding Urban Education Research Award, a $1,000 cash award established by Dr. Ron Colarusso, former dean of the College of Education, recognizes a faculty member who has shown outstanding achievement in the area of scholarship or creative activity in urban education.
